Not importing photos

Odd issue, I have folders that contain home videos and photos. Something stopped working properly as it currently won't any photos in my G:\G_Pictures\2023-2023-12 folder.  It reads the movies and there is 1 photo it read.  When I try to do a rescan or refresh metadata, it simply does not import the existing photos.  Any idea what is stuck, perhaps in the database, that it won't recognize the photos that I place in the 2023-12 folder?

So, I created a subfolder called "more" and copied photos into that. Voila, it read the photos.

Any idea what is stuck, perhaps in the database, that it won't recognize the photos that I place in the 2023-12 folder? It just doesn't seem to want to read the photos that already exist there. I even moved all the photos out of that folder and back in and did a rescan. same issue.

Yes there are videos in the folder as well. 
 

it’s interesting the videos I took over Christmas do show up.  It’s just ones that were taken a week prior.

OK this should be resolved in the upcoming 4.8 server release. Thanks.
