Primary Images not being added for new shows

I've been noticing that when I add a new show and Emby imports, specifically the Primary Image is missing. The Background, icon, banner, etc images all load in fine, as do the Season cover images and everything within, it's specifically the primary on the series. This only happens on TV shows, it doesn't happen on my movies or anime libraries. I'm able to search and add them just fine, which I typically check the images to see if there are ones I like more anyways, so not a day ruining experience, just a weird thing that pops up. I've checked my settings on the anime library side by side, particularly around the image fetcher settings and they all match. Curious if there are any known issues around this, or maybe things like a folder/character limit that could be contributing? Happy to pull logs and whatnot if needed, thanks!

Just reviving this one as it's still happening, pure laziness on my part prior.
I added a show this morning, and it's pulling in the banner/fanart/thumbnail pics just fine. I can search for a primary image and apply no problem from the usual TVDB/OMDB sources, it's just not doing it during the initial import. It works just fine on my Movies and Anime library still. Found this bit in the logs that looked relevant, it seems to be getting a 404 on the Primary Image scan, but none of the others. Uploaded the relevant bit that I could find, let me know if more info is needed.
Thanks as always!

@emby-noobcan you please attach the log file in it's original plain text format, rather than rtf?

Also, what image fetchers are enabled on the library?

Posted

Sure, see attached. Updated one from today at 2025-11-19 10:15:13.179 I think.

Current fetchers are, in order:

The Open Movie Database, TheTVDB, and FanArt for Series
TheMovieDB, TheTVDB, FanArt for Season
TheTVDB, The Open Movie Database, and Image Capture for Episode

Although this has changed a few times since original reporting.

how did you configure the language options on the library?

Posted

Preferred language in English, auto subtitles in English with hash check, and using a linked opensubtitles account.
I think the other settings are default, but let me know if there are specific ones to check, or if screenshots preferred.

Thanks Luke!
