Set display order of a collection with API?

I'm creating "dynamic" collections like "Latest Netflix Movies" etc. Naturally I want to have the items ordered by date added descending so I can immediately see what is new.  

In the interface via Edit Metadata I can only choose Display order "Release Date" and "Sort Title" which is a bummer

Question is how do I set that via API? I see in ItemUpdateService there is DisplayOrder. Is that it? What are the valid values for the string? Not too sure where I should be looking this up!

Hi, yes that is it. Valid values are PremiereDate and SortName. But this only controls the default display order.

In the upcoming 4.8 server release there will be sorting right on the collection screen for everyone to use.
