Ok... Is there a solution because it is still stuck scanning for the 5th day..I hate to say it but I won't bring up a name of a competitor app that had no problem scanning which took 6hrs total.. there must be something only emby is having a problem with..I do like emby once it gets over this glitch..I'll leave it scanning still

OK you could always try the 4.8 beta server to see if your scans perform faster with that. Thanks.

The assets (compiled programs) are after the list of changes (not all platforms are available for .63 yet - but they're all there for .62).

For Windows, open the zip (.7z) and replace the system directory of your Emby installation with the one in the zip, then restart.  Wait a bit, as it will do a number of database updates.

You might want a backup, of course - I simply make a copy of the Emby directory (not media).  Note that you cannot go back the same way, because of the database changes.  To revert to the stable release, either restore your backup (see above), or set up new from scratch.
