Library scan progress is not linear and is likely only appearing to be stuck, as it can take a long time to complete, depending on your library size and options enabled (Thumbnail extraction, IntroSkip detection...). I'd just give it enough time to compete. If you still feel there's an issue, see:

Server logs are the main troubleshooting tool, until you provide those it's all guesswork only.

i know you say wait but i noticed my library hasnt updated in tv shows  only a few shows have been added but nothing new in  over 8 hrs..i no its stuck

Typically yes. If you have any privacy/security (or other) concerns, you can further sanitize it manually before posting.

here is the latest log file.... i did a rescan  now its been at 86.9% for 2 hrs

Hi, how did you install Emby Server?

through a storage service..use there application..why do you ask..what info do you need ?  I already scanned my movies. Everything went through that way. But my TV shows have a problem scanning.

OK I don't think it's stuck but just taking a little longer than you'd like. Scans will be faster in the upcoming 4.8 server release.

It's just weird it's been scanning for at least 12hrs with no progress..why is nothing being added to my tv shows like Metadata or anything..when i keep checkingmy library nothingnew is poppingup....my movies scan was instant

I notice you're doing a lot of individual refreshes or scans:

That's probably not helping while a full scan is going on. Try restarting the server, running a full scan of all libraries and then just wait for that to finish.

Ok...I restarted my web server...my emby server..now running full scanning ..but noticed it went to 86.9% again..I'll guess I'll wait but somethings not right..I've used emby before & shows used to started popping up during scanning

Maybe when you say restart emby server..i should use the restart from the emby app instead .I've been doing it through the ultraseedbox control panel emby app that has option to restart

Question.... In my emby logs what is hardware_detection-**********8.txt

I've got about 7 of them..is that normal

That is detecting graphics cards for hardware acceleration. It runs on server startup and anytime the host system reports a display-related change.

Ok..I removed tv shows & started fresh with my libraries everything is updating fine so far..right now I've come up last to tv shows cuz it's my largest collection..will see what happens overnight & I'll get back to you tomorrow with a fresh log report...wait something just happened...scanning stopped after 91%..right at 163 items in tv shows..something is causing it to stop
