Great distance between client and server .. problem?

My daughter is spending time with a friend in Australia. They want to watch some movies using Emby, and my server is in NY.  Has anyone tried this before, and does it work ok?

Yes, works fine.  Providing you have setup remote access either via your router port forwarding with proper URL or behind reverse proxy etc etc.  Been traveling world with access to my server in US just fine.

Perfect thanks !  I have remote access setup with her already for when she is at school.
