Amolanke 1 Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 I am total newbie, so bare with me. I have embyvserver in seedbox, and emby apps on my 3 devices. Now I am yesterday started emby server at home with its own library (camera uploads are mess , but that's another topic for emby to fix), now when I try to access home server with emby app on TV, it tell me that I am connected to premier server, soni don't have to unlock this app, but if purchase premier it would not count towards my limit. When I click restore unlock, it's says unlock is not purchases and does not load media at all. What is going on ??????how do I make sure that it works.
GrimReaper 4740 Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 (edited) Not sure I understood all that, so few pointers in case those might offer some guidance: - Premiere key is tied to a server and you can have as many servers with same key as you like; note that device limit/count (standard Premiere license carries a 25-devices limit) is cumulative across all your servers - Having valid Premiere subscription enables all features across all client apps (within device limit) - Unlocking an app provides only full playback on those apps (those apps don't count against Premiere device limit for playback purposes); using any other Premiere feature does make them count as well Is there a limit to Emby Premiere? But as I stated above embybis showing above messages. Also DLNA does not work 100% on my TV .i.e. wh en i send media from my home server it won't load at all on my TV

GrimReaper 4740 Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 (edited) As stated, you do not need to unlock app as you're connected to Premiere server - but you certainly can, in order to, for example, support the Devs or not have that device count against your Premiere devices limit - or have Full playback capabilities on a non-Premiere server. But for all intents and purposes you can safely ignore that, there's nothing to be gained there for you, all features are already enabled if within device limit of your server. "Unlock" and "Restore Unlock" there refer to App Unlock and are unrelated to your Premiere license. Then what steps do I take to stop this message and play media in my tv? Currently having Premier, uolcked app, but it does give me intended result. What can i do to resolve this problem ?

AndroidTV app also has capability to provide in-app logs. Quote Emby for Android TV/Fire TV and Emby for Roku Logs These apps have the option to send an app log to us electronically. You enter the settings page and turn on the "Debug Options". Now there will be a new option on the user menu at the top of your app home page labelled "Send Log". Quote If you are using Android TV/Fire TV and your problem is with playback, please send the log directly from the playback OSD. There will be an option on the "cog" menu. Reproduce your problem and then use this button to send the log. Then add the following information to your report in the forum: Exactly what you were doing and what happened. Include the name of whatever you played if it is a playback problem The time you sent the log (in Eastern Time please - UTC -5) The name of the Emby user on the local server that was logged in at the time

I was trying to play video from my camera upload and also a movie from my movie collection. The username is pappa in emby local server By the way your instructions for send logs are Highly wrong.i had to logout from emby connect and then got out of app and loaded it again and then I could select server with other options to send logs .

To ensure that premium can be played on android tv on anywhere else för that matter it is essential that premier must be enabled on 1.server first 2.the on apps (if not already done) 3.DEFINE THE FOLDER FOR CAMERA UPLOADS BEFORE STATING TO UPLOAD THEM TO EMBY, OTHWERISE YOU MAY END UP WITH 3000 CAMERA UPLOADS in your main media page , The only way to remove it is manually going to menu (by clicking on menu) and selecting library and deleting camera upload named folder ONE BY ONE . 4.EMBY although looks like finished product has multiple multiple flaws, which its staff is unknown about..they start off help by starting obvious options as seen in this thread, you bettwr off finding your own options

Atk ast we can overcome superfluous talk about what Premier can do and cannot do 1.youe instructions are like since you do additions ,this integral problem is trivial to do. 2. It's exactly was in my case , there was no other choice, I logged out and logged in everything THE ONLY thing that worked is premium key on server. 3. Again you are stating obvious, I know I am entitled to my opinion.

Are you sure you followed them exactly? Did you enable the "Debug options" in the app?
