brucearp 1 Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Hi, I am getting the the following error when trying to play a live tv recording. It happens on both browser playback and playback on roku: "Playback Error No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details." The file is a .ts file that needs to be transcoded before it can be played back. If I convert the file to an MP4 it is fine. I have attached the Emby server logs, the transcoding logs with debug mode enabled and a screenshot of the error. I do have a Premiere license as well. Any help would be appreciated. Luke 42081 Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Hi, are you able to try Chrome or MS Edge and see how that compares?
brucearp 1 Posted December 11, 2023 Author Posted December 11, 2023 It is working now. This is on a new/replacement server I had setup today. I had to add ffmpeg to my path environment variable for a post-processing task and it started working after I did that. Thanks for the quick reply. Bruce 1
jimmiles 0 Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 Is emby able to use the most updated ffmpeg versions out there? Today again another announcement on its development got me wondering (https://www.phoronix.com/news/FFmpeg-CLI-MT-Merged).
pwhodges 2012 Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 Emby uses a customised version of ffmpeg. It usually appears to be a version behind, but the devs add in changes from the next version which they think are necessary, so not all is as it seems. Paul 1
