External subtitles not displaying on TV

Hi there. I have an Android TV. Having an issue with a specific series (Parks and Recreation). The files all have embedded subtitles in them. Because they are not synced up properly, I have tried to download & play external SRT. The subtitles look like they're downloaded but when I load them to play out, the TV displays nothing on playout. When I tested it out on a web browser, the external SRT subtitles load & play just fine. I sent a log at 10:08 AM ET

Sorry. I might have misworded. So they are internal subs. I see them listed as SUBRIP, when selecting them

Hi.  Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares?

Thanks.

So I just tried it on a sideloaded version. It works fine on the sideloaded app. Now I'm trying to figure a way to unlock the account because it says I cannot watch more than 1minute.

Can't unlock sideloaded standard Android app currently, Premiere subscription is required.

Thank you. So my question now is: How come I'm unable to play the SRT files on the Android TV app? If it's working on the sideloaded app.
