alegara 1 Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Hi, I have Emby server configured at home, port are correctly open and have no problems connecting from any network using Emby app on most devices (had some problems with firetv app, but that's for another topic). Chrome is a much less smooth experience. I try connect through https://app.emby.media and it seems to work, I see my server (with the local address) but if I try to click on it I receive the message "Unable to Reach DESKTOP-KKSE1RE". If I'm at home and use the LAN address all works, if I'm on another network and use the remote WAN address all works (but I have to remote control that PC to know the WAN address). Again on android or firetv app everything works, I don't need to manually set the correct url, so I think it shouldn't be a problem of open ports. Obviously this is not an urgent matter since everything works in the end, it's just an annoying minor bug, but one that can easily dazzle some users.

Do you have SSL setup on your server? Chrome is likely force redirecting you to https://app.emby.media, try using http://app.emby.media (drop the "s" from "https"). Check that that address is actually shown in your address bar (http, not https and you have no lock icon).
pwhodges 2012 Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 If Chrome is forcing https, you can click on the padlock to get a menu in which you can cancel this. Paul
