jeonggyun roh 0 Posted December 8, 2023 Author Posted December 8, 2023 what's the problem plz tell me how can i fix it..
TMCsw 247 Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 I don’t have any Synology experience but as I don’t see emby receiving any RTM events in you log: A few questions? Does your Syno support RTM on USB storage? Does RTM need to be enabled on the Syno? What is the USB storage's file system. Can you test to see if RTM is working properly on your Syno? (this would help determine if it is a problem with Synology or emby. To test this you need to install 'inotify-tools' (not sure how to do this on the Syno) then try the following (changing to suit your mounts. (Sample was done on Proxmox 8.1)) if you get errors or or don’t get similar output then it’s not working on your NAS
jeonggyun roh 0 Posted December 9, 2023 Author Posted December 9, 2023 (edited) hi. thanks your reply this is my result is it ok? or do i have problem? Edited December 9, 2023 by jeonggyun roh
TMCsw 247 Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 Sorry, this would indicate that it's not working on your NAS for that mount.
jeonggyun roh 0 Posted December 9, 2023 Author Posted December 9, 2023 but i have question. when i'm running inotifywait i got this messages is this message means working inotify right?
jeonggyun roh 0 Posted December 9, 2023 Author Posted December 9, 2023 if i inotifywait directory set movie_test_2 i get that kinds of message like you i think. my synology inotify is fine. so according to that result i think emby inotifywait set directory something mistake?
TMCsw 247 Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 No, that is Just monitoring the mount point on your FS.
jeonggyun roh 0 Posted December 9, 2023 Author Posted December 9, 2023 (edited) i set just directory. if just -m option inotifywait monitoring just that directory. If you want it to work out like you said, i think must use "-r" option so if i use this option "-r" but i think emby needs monitoring just library directory. maybe they are set directory not mount point Edited December 9, 2023 by jeonggyun roh
TMCsw 247 Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 Oops, missed the second second reply ... ... Looks like it is working by that!
jeonggyun roh 0 Posted December 9, 2023 Author Posted December 9, 2023 ok..hm.. so what's the problem..T_T
TMCsw 247 Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 I'm not emby employee/dev so it's back to them...
jeonggyun roh 0 Posted December 9, 2023 Author Posted December 9, 2023 (edited) i checked 1 more case. remove emby server -> delete /volume1/@appdata/EmbyServer directory -> install embyserver -> embyserver restart -> setup configuration -> add movie -> LibraryMonitor detect added movie success -> add 1more movie -> LibraryMonitor is not working anymore... here's this case log. ps. i also test with Plex and Plex is working well to detect added movie embyserver.txt Edited December 9, 2023 by jeonggyun roh
jeonggyun roh 0 Posted December 9, 2023 Author Posted December 9, 2023 Added the first movie "Be-Bop-A-Lula.2017.720p.HDRip.H264.AAC-JAYENT.mp4". The second one was added by changing the name to "test.mp4"
jeonggyun roh 0 Posted December 11, 2023 Author Posted December 11, 2023 (edited) First Copy Movie : /volumeUSB1/usbshare/movie/Be-Bop-A-Lula.2017.720p.HDRip.H264.AAC-JAYENT.mp4 -> /volumeUSB1/usbshare/movie_test/Be-Bop-A-Lula.2017.720p.HDRip.H264.AAC-JAYENT.mp4 Second Copy Movie : /volumeUSB1/usbshare/movie/Be-Bop-A-Lula.2017.720p.HDRip.H264.AAC-JAYENT.mp4 -> /volumeUSB1/usbshare/movie_test/test.mp4 By changed name I meant it was a copy of the same movie but not the same name. Luke 42077 Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 I can see activity in the server log related to this. Is it possible you just didn't wait long enough?
jeonggyun roh 0 Posted December 19, 2023 Author Posted December 19, 2023 No. I think you just think about my mistake but i really test it many ways. you can just see log about first movie "Be-Bop-A-Lula.2017.720p.HDRip.H264.AAC-JAYENT.mp4". The problem started after adding the second movie. As i said to you i can see first movie after added, but second movie can't. wait long enough? I waited 10 min maybe more. and didn't show up. first movie maybe i think 10~20sec?. And there directory has just 2 movies. Can't you understand my word? And now i don't want to discuss this problem. Thank you for your reply, but there's no solution.
