Recently added movies widget

I got a question about the widget "recently added"

Every time i add a new movie, it appears in the widget recently added.

However if i add a movie that is a bit older , say 4 years.. then that movie doenst pop up in the wiget.

How come?

It should be the first one i see....

 

A second question i have..

Is it possible to have a widget for "unseen" movies in the home screen?

What behavior for newly added conent you have set under server settings>Library>Advanced tab?

No, but you can hide watched movies in user Home Screen settings, which basically gives you same net result.

Oh i didnt know of that behavior  its set as "use file creation date". I should use scan date then?

For hiding movies, i dont like to hide watched movies, why arent we allowed to make a widget for unseen movies?

If you want to see those old movies on Home Screen - yes.

That's a question for the Devs, but I assume eventually it will be possible with the introduction of Smart playlists/views. You can lend your support here:

Ok i change to scan date, but i still dont see it, i rescan the libary, but it doesnt chance

That applies only to newly added content/going onwards, it doesn't change already imported items' date. You'd have to remove those items from your collection, scan media library to clear db and re-import.
