What to look for in embyserver.txt

I think I'm having some networking problems, from the local client to the Emby server. Can someone offer a little guidance on what to look for in the embyserver.txt file please

I've noticed that a few movies, when jumping ahead, lose their connection, and don't appear in "recently watched" but only when I jump bug chunks, little jumps are ok.

Thanks 🙂

Hi, best to let us do that part. There isn't really a one size fits all answer to what you're asking. Everything is case by case.

Hi Luke, I was trying to save you the trouble 🙂

Here's the embyserver.log file. I was watching "A Christmas Carol" It seemed to crash, but I was working and hence distracted so I may be wrong. I then reloaded emby (via chrome on my laptop) started watching it. I tried skipping forward to the point I was at previously. I tried a few times, but if I jumped too far, 5 minutes, the film hung, and I had to wait for it if indeed it didn't die anyway.

It seems like it had the small incremental jumps in cache but when I went too far it needed to load the disk. That crashed it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I start by looking for basic failures, such as permission denied errors, disk space full, user restricted access to transcoding, etc.

Once we rule out those, then it gets more difficult and everything is case by case.
