changing libary resume settings has no effect on 2nd copy

I created a 2nd TV library that uses the same folder for media as the 1st TV library.

I created a new user that only has access to the 2nd TV library.

Changing the options "min/max resume percentage" and "min resume duration" on the 2nd TV library has no effect for that new user when playing the 2nd TV library.

If I change those settings on the 1st TV library they effect the user that only has access to the second TV library when playing the second TV library.

HI, using the same folder in different libraries is only lightly supported. For best results I would make sure they both have the same library options, otherwise you're going to run into quirks like this.

That might put a damper on what I'm aiming for.

The only thing that mattered was having a separate user with separate libraries (having the same content as others) to effectively disable the ability for that user to resume play and they would have things marked played with even just the tiniest bit of it actually being watched. That of course requires different settings since I don't want to disable resume play or have things instantly watched for all other users.

The 2nd user/library worked fine (no visible/functional difference from 1st library) despite all library settings like NFO read, metadata search, image fetch, and preview generation disabled, was trying to minimize conflicts there. I set min resume to 1%, max resume to 2%, and even tried setting min resume duration to above all media length.

I guess since the resume settings I changed didn't matter then none of the other stuff I disabled on that 2nd library changed either.

Would there be anyway other way to have a user with access to the same media as everybody else except they everything they watched a tiny bit of was played no matter how much was left off when they stopped watching it?

I can't think of one, sorry. Perhaps those resume options should be per-user instead of per-library, but as of right now they can only be set on the library and it applies to everyone.
