For some reason, there is an issue with the databases. I don't know why (maybe a interrupted/unfinished update procedure). Guest Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 I know this is not really helpful, but somehow the recent updates completely screwed up EmbyForKodi. I don't know what happened, I just had automatic updates turned on (as this worked without problems for months), and then yesterday the interaction between Emby and Kodi was messed up. At first I could no longer log in to the Emby server (logs said something about DeviceID problems), then after deleting the server data I was not able to enter credentials (login dialog simply did not accept pressing "enter"), and then after completely resetting the plugin settings and the Databases I was able to log in again, but I got no library content. Downgrading to the last 8.x version manually made everything work again. I know, not much information, but priority for me was getting the home cinema to work again for the family...

Too late to provide a log before deleting the databases @quickmic. Sorry. After rolling back both LibreElec and the Emby Beta didn't resolve the issue, I restored a backup from a few weeks ago to the Rpi4 SD card. That was going to take six hours to complete, so I let the restore run overnight. When I got home tonight, I stepped through all the setup steps to get back to where things were before the database corruption. This time there was not an issue. I'm going to have to assume there was some "fluke" corruption to the data on the SD card during the original upgrade to LibreElec 11.0.6. Even though things seem to be working now, I'm probably going to retire the old SD card and get a new one just to be safe. Thanks for your troubleshooting advice! 1

I reset the library, restarted kodi, logged back into my server, and started syncing my movies & TV shows, but the sync process fails when it gets to start adding TV seasons. I tried starting with a fresh kodi install and directly installing 9.4.9, but get the same issue. I'm re-running the sync now, and it made it past that point, so appears to be fixed (although it's stil syncing, so can't confirm 100%). Is there a way to tell where that might be in emby? As far as I'm aware, I'm not sure where I would even look to find a season not assigned to a TV show in emby. ::EDIT:: Just to confirm, the sync completed successfully, so that def solved my issue. I just check and I see my recordings via folder view for dynamic nodes. Something must be different as in my setup. I'll check.

Keep in mind that the recodings I have are identified as TvShows, but with no season or episode. emby recorder create a folder for each tvshow for example I have a folder "Le Iene" and inside. A file for each recording for example "Le Iene %date %time - Entertainment". As for metadata they only have a generic Entertainment as title, no episode number or season number. I don't care about populating them because I delete them once watched.

Even if would show episodes or other content, the plugin will show them too.
LittleWizard 31 Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 Same identical node worked in 8.x. Also, this problem was present also with previous server version. Don't know if this does mean anything, but I noticed that when I clear Kodi db, restart kodi and sync Embyforkodi 9.x for the first time, when sync is ended, I see anything under movies or tvshows. I have to close kodi again and reopen and now my library is populated. It seems to me that with 8.x version I don't have to restart kodi, but maybe I'm wrong or maybe is the last kodi update that changed this behaviour.
