Community embyOS

How about having a communityOS linux based that the community can mod and add things to? Not sure how the registering would work but have something we as a group can mod. Just a thought! Maybe have it so it does not allow video content to play but just mod only?

Hi, it's a neat idea. It's just a question of who maintains it, keeps it up to date, troubleshoots it, etc.

Hi Luke, my question to you is what would it take to make this happen, what do you think about an OS that does not allow playing content yet we can mod anything, in your opinion is this something doable? Far as keeping it up to date and troubleshoots I think that would be up to the community who is involved if it even takes place. How hard would this be to start and be honest, do you think this would be something that can take off the pressure on what you and ebr do as a daily? Cheers friend!

It would only be just to mod the look and feel, skins etc, not an actual full media player. Then you could add the mods into the regular emby server.
