Browser plays audio only when watching videos

After an Emby server update a while back, Emby plays only audio when watching videos in any browser on any operating system.

The Log files are attached in zip: embyserver.txt, ffmpeg-directstream, hardware_detection

Emby Server version 4.7.14.0 is running on Ubuntu 20.04.6

I have tried with transcoding both on and off.

I have spent several hours searching hoping to find a solution, but no luck. This only happens in browser playback. If I use the Emby client app on say an android/iOS device, both video and audio play fine when watching a video rather than audio only.

Thanks so much for anyone willing to share their wisdom!

Hi, what do you mean exactly? Are you saying you can't play music files?

Hi Luke,

When I try to play a video in any browser, on any operating system, all that plays is audio. No video appears when trying to play a video. This only happens in browsers. All Emby client apps play both audio and video perfectly when trying to watch a video.

Thanks!

Hi Luke,

As it turns out, it was not an issue with Emby server at all. Class names changed after an update, and custom css I had loaded was preventing the videoPlayerContainer element from being displayed. It's sorted now now.

Thanks again!
