Add Optional Network Paths to existing Folders in Library

Recommended Posts

When I set up the libraries in my Emby server, I forgot to add the option network path to the folder. Is it possible to add this once the folder has been added to the library? If so, to make sure I have the proper syntax, their path would be.

Server on my network has the ip 192.168.1.70

Optional network path:

\\192.168.1.70\media\Mediacentre01\TVShows01

Is this correct?

Thank you for your time.

You can add it afterwards - that's fine.

Be aware that only a few clients will actually use it though - Emby Theatre for Windows, I'm unsure if Emby Theatre for Unix will use it (being SMB).

AndroidTV / Shield Pro will also use it - but only on a previous version of Android, the new Android release and new Android Emby (non TV) client, unfortunately do not.

Thank you @rbjtechfor the response. Do you know hoe I can perform the edit. I can't seem to find where I can and the Wiki makes no mention of it as well.

Thank you again!

In the library settings, just click on the existing path that you want to add an alternative for:

Thank you @pwhodgesthat did it. The whole reason why I wanted to add network path is I am debating of going from an internal Kodi database to having Emby handle it instead. Still in the research phase.
