jayfry 1 Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 (edited) Emby Server: Version 4.7.14.0 (Using Truenas and Docker) Emby App Version: 2.2.15 This only happens if the MKV file has subtitles, however the issue appears to be happening before transcoding even begins. I thought maybe it was traefik so I accessed emby directly and i'm getting the same error. Only happens on IOS or AppleTV Search for this log to see where issue starts Playback start reported by app Emby for iOS 2.2.15 playing Ghost Fly Edit: embyserver (15).txt shows the same file but when I removed the subtitles. I also remuxed the file without removing subs just to see if the remuxing process itself was the fix, but that doesn't seem to be it. embyserver (13).txt embyserver (15).txt Edited November 25, 2023 by jayfry extra logs
jayfry 1 Posted November 26, 2023 Author Posted November 26, 2023 Allowing local network in the Emby iOS app fixes the issue. Any idea how I can do the same on the Apple TV? I don't see the option there
Solution jayfry 1 Posted November 26, 2023 Author Solution Posted November 26, 2023 For the Apple TV using the ip of the server instead is the domain seemed to fix it. my domain points to my local network but since the dns routes through the internet Emby assumes it's external (I'm assuming) 1
