Is it in your near plans to add the functionality of converting multichannel surround (5.1, 6.1, 7.2, etc) audio to 2.0 virtual binaural acoustics (surround) for headphones usage?

Hi,

Is this still planned?

Oh sorry, I should have posted in the LG TV section.

Hi, we are not working on it right this moment but it is certainly doable.

Thank you for your feedback.

Is this a feature that can be planned for Android TV, LG webOS and mobile apps?

Hi, yes it is something that can be looked at. Thanks.

I'll get back to the topic.

In Emby for Android TV, there's "Playback Settings > Audio Output > Stereo Downmix."

It's surprising that this setting isn't available on Emby for LG.

Is this a feature you didn't code, or is it a problem with the webOS system?

Hi, I guess it's just never really come up before in the LG app.

According to what I found on the Samsung dev portal my TV should downmix 5.1 to stereo automatically where the different channels are blended together to fit the 2 speakers if no surround system is hooked up.  Doesn't LG do something similar, or this this something different?
