Can someone explain this clearly to me? I am running Emby on my desktop computer & Firestick 4K on my TV. I use a VPN on my desktop computer and only connect to the TV on that path and not using any remote access to other devices or users.

Do I also need to run the VPN on the firestick?

Is the Emby device on the Firestick connecting to the internet and exposing the files I run from my desktop to the internet's prying eyes?

Hi, emby does not require a VPN, but depending on your network setup and/or  your ISP, you may need or want one.
