nusuzst 31 Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Hi, Probably Luke will pick up this topic - as usually For some unknown reason, I have quite a few "broken" tracks... What I usually do is save the name of the broken track and re-download it. For now, there is no way to spot a file that is not working. Is there any way that Emby can flag broken tracks? A small icon e.g. (!) after field play would do. Please, Please
Luke 42081 Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
nusuzst 31 Posted November 16, 2023 Author Posted November 16, 2023 Hi Luke, i dont have problem with playing files. But some of my files are damaged for some reason - none of the players can play these tracks, to clarify. I have broken maybe 1% of files so it's not so that bad, but from time to time player stops playing because of that. Post is to add feature “auto skip damaged files and flag it” I hope now it's more clear Cheers
Luke 42081 Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 OK i agree in principle with the idea it's just that it's not so simple detect a damaged file vs other kinds of playback errors.
nusuzst 31 Posted November 16, 2023 Author Posted November 16, 2023 (edited) When -> "playback error" message appears -> mark the file on the playlist? I'm not sure how this is going with "other kind of playback errors" because I never had them. Fingers crossed you will find a solution Cheers Edited November 16, 2023 by nusuzst
Luke 42081 Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Right the problem is that a playback error on one device may not occur on another.

I hope you will figure out something this would be very helpful for me and many other Emby users. I think it's a good step forward to make Emby ultimate app 1
