Help with low quality coverart

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Going into movies folder, coverart quality is low compared to recently added movies area. Same situation - once I enter a movie, the quality of the image is fine.

Movies --> all images are low quality

Enter a movie --> main image quality is fine

Recently added movies --> image quality is fine

The images below don't show as well the difference in quality I see, but it gives you an idea of the difference.

You need to log in as ADMIN  so you are allowed to change stuff.  (This is also assuming you are a Premier member.)

Go to a movie you want a better image or different image for.

When you hover the cursor over the movie you will see 4 icons.  Play in the centre,  a check mark on the lower left, a heart in the lower centre and three dots on the lower right.  Click on the three dots.

From the menu that opens pick Edit Images.

On the next screen you can see all the associated images for the file.  Clicking on the magnifying glass will bring up available images for your movie/tv show/whatever and you can usually pick a high quality image from the available images as they show the pixel size below each image.  If you would rather add your own image - hover the mouse over any image section and the three dots appear on the right of the image.  From that menu you can pick your own image from a url or upload an image.

yeah, I've done that. Every movie or tv show image on the main screen is low quality, but that same image looks much better once I click into the movie details page. It's the same image.
