austie 4 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Recently my old trusty emby server that had the Collections originally created via the old Auto Boxset plugin has started to have hardware failure and to avoid full system failure I spun up a replacement system to replace and do the job. During the backup restore process and re-building of the metadata as I try to refresh metadata on a semi-frequent basis incase something has been updated I noticed that the collection re-build has not been populating the collections with an image similar to the old one. I tried changing the settings for the images to include fan art and put it as the top priority but even after a refresh metadata both auto & manual selection have found that I need to go into each collection and search manually for an image. Is there anyway to fix things so that they are the same as the old dying server? Images have been provided for examples
austie 4 Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 @seanbufflooks like it but I don't follow part of the article about letting TVDB do it as I have all those settings enabled & nothing. Is there a way to complete delete all data for the server and then copy/export the metadata details for all collections TV/Movie/Music and then let it just re-fresh? Or even delete all the legacy collection side and start from scratch?

You can try manually refreshing/replacing all metadata for the items you believe are affected If you believe there is still a problem, I would contribute to that other thread with some of your own examples to help the Devs look into it.

I think you may have misread/typed TVDB because they have nothing to do with collections, it's TMDB where the mata info/images comes from for collections. Do you use nfo files that could be holding stale meta info? Maybe worth looking into that because the collection library is a virtual lib based on your movie library metadata. The collection library also has the option to store nfo meta along with images. I know this is probably not what you want to hear but maybe a full movie library scan..
austie 4 Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 @JunglejimThe collections are being picked up correctly its just the images for the collection is just tiles of the movies not the same as the old collection images as shown above @seanbuffwill do last time I had to do a restore after a hard drive died & never had this issue just now for some reason
