Checkoutside 17 Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 My PR2100 updated to 5.27.157 over the weekend. I went to play the 3rd of 3 4K files today and it comes up with "too many errors - giving up". I thought maybe a bad file, tried to play 1 of the 2 I had previously watched and same error. Tried a few other 4K files and same thing! Non-4K files seem to play as normal for now. I know from the "What changed" info file that WD updated a lot this time so I am not saying this is a Emby issue, but anyone have suggestions? I am on Emby 4.7.14.0.
Luke 42077 Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
Solution Checkoutside 17 Posted November 6, 2023 Author Solution Posted November 6, 2023 Problem solved! I should have known better. After the firmware update, the system does a soft reboot with no interaction from me. While on with support from WD I suggested I do a hard reboot manually, in other words shut the damn thing down. I did that and let it sit for a few minutes and on reboot, all is well again. So there never was an issue with Emby. I will try to remember in the future to just go ahead and do a hard reboot after a Nas update. Thanks for responding though. 1
