Friend with LG issues.

Hey Everyone,

I have a friend trying watch shared videos, and it keeps buffering for him. Noticed its just from the LG tv he has. Could I get some clarification for it, and/or possible fix?

Have you changed a setting in the diagnostics option? 
 

what happens if you set it back to the original settings?

Where would that change happen?  I did enable diagnostics sometime ago...

 

Just for DLNA though. Would that be the difference?

It's in the 'Diagnostic Options' under Advanced on the server settings, although it looks like 'Disable Hardware Subtitle Overlay' is disabled by default and I'm not sure of the impact of enabling it.

If you're don't need the Diagnostics Plugin then it might be best to uninstall it and restart the server before making a new test.  This will ensure it's not having any unexpected impacts and we're testing against a 'standard' setup.

I don't have that option so I would assume that is a no. Just a heads up out of many users he is the only one with this issue, that has been brought to my attention.

OK, weird that I'm seeing the error message in the logs.  Does play work fine if he turns off subtitles before starting playback?

Also can you have him try lowering the in-app quality setting? That can usually help resolve issues such as this if it's just a matter of the bitrate being too high.
