nweishar 14 Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Hey guys, as the title implies I was watching live tv and in the middle of an episode it stopped playing. I went to restart the show and started getting error messages. I've since verified that the streams work fine in VLC as well as on the main IPTV providers website. Run the Server on a Synology using docker and is on the latest release non-beta. I've used the M3U option in LiveTV, have Transcoding enabled and let me know what other information I can provide. LiveTV is one of my main Emby functions so I'm hoping you can help me resolve this. Thanks! embyserver_livetvissue.txt ffmpeg-directstream-e7637c45-26c1-46ee-b868-b91230d0cd79_1.txt
Luke 42077 Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Hi. Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks.
sargenthp 35 Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Check your disk space. There seems to be an occasional rouge process that keeps filling up the disk with the temporary transcoded data. Funny that I had my problem tonight as well where I couldn't get to live TV and my images wouldn't load tonight as well. The file I needed to remove was... /var/lib/emby/transcoding-temp/928123105dc643f1ae908b1fb4b689fe.ts. It was at 76GB.

I have 1.5 TB available on the disk it's running on. I'll take a look through the temp files though and clean them out to see if that helps. Edited November 1, 2023 by nweishar

I've tried multiple different interfaces with the same result. Standard Emby android app, chromecast app, and web browser. I did try the other suggestion listed here around transcode temp folder and after I deleted my prior and replaced it with a blank one, the livetv feed came back. I'll monitor for the next couple of days and let you know if it's a sustainable solution or not. Thanks again! 1
