[Help] The season.nfo file has been repeatedly uploaded!

Why is it that every time I scan the media library, all the season.nfo files in the episode are re uploaded?

All my videos are on the online drive, mounted locally through software, and then added to the media library by EMBY.

Every time I scan, every season.nfo file in the episode will be uploaded repeatedly, even if there are no changes to the episode!

The format of my episode is:

TV name (year) [tmdbid=xxx]/Season 1/TV name/S01E01.mkv

I downloaded the latest uploaded nfo file and found that the<date added>in it is still a long time ago, which means there have been no changes. However, the season.nfo file will still be uploaded repeatedly! But tvshow.nfo and episode.nfo have not been repeatedly uploaded [except for new episodes]

This causes me to spend a lot of time scanning the media library every time!

I tried to find the log of one of the episodes and found that when scanning for this episode, the path information of the episodes was deleted and then rebuilt? So do you need to upload season.nfo every time?

Is this because I added an additional level of directory in Season 1?

Because multiple versions have been saved, Sason 1 will have multiple directories to distinguish different versions, like this:

Is it precisely due to the addition of this level of directory?

Or is it because of the mounting software I am using (all my videos are on the online drive)?

To enable Emby to handle multiple versions of episodes, the method is to put them in the same directory and give them the same name, but each having a different suffix (I put a dash first to make it clear).  Alternatively, you could have the version separated at the series level and combine them from there.

I don't know how you wish the different versions to appear, though, so I can't suggest full details.  But what you are doing is not what Emby expects...

So is it precisely because of the addition of this level of directory that season.nfo is repeatedly uploaded?

Did you turn on the missing episodes feature for your library? Try turning that off if you did.

Is it this option? I will turn it off and try again. I hope season.nfo will not upload repeatedly.

Thank you for your reply!
