ebr 16185 Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Hi. You didn't include the logs but make sure nothing like a proxy or CDN is interfering with the traffic to the remote server.
nunu22 2 Posted October 29, 2023 Author Posted October 29, 2023 (edited) oups ... sorry no proxy server or CDN. it worked fine. My android mobile phone use same network than the shield. I have tested with windows emby player, and it works. embyserver.zip Edited October 29, 2023 by nunu22
Luke 42081 Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Hi. Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks.
nunu22 2 Posted October 30, 2023 Author Posted October 30, 2023 ok, it works, thanks. I don't understand why theses 2 applications are different ? is there a big delay between apk availabilty & google play ? regards

They were originally separately developed applications - one for Android TVs and the other for general Android devices. But the duplicated development and updating that this entails is a pain, so the general Android app is being further developed to take over the functions of the TV version. This work is not complete, but as the bigger effort is now being put into the general Android app, and the TV version is being allowed to fall behind in some regards, often the general app will have a fix that the TV app does not, and so will work better. I suspect the plan is to put it into the store soon, but for now sideloading is the way to get it installed. The ultimate aim is to retire the specific TV app. Paul
