acreamymediabox 0 Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Hello Emby folks, I'm one of the many that came to Emby since the Plex Vs Hetzner urm, thing.. I fit in the category of it's cheaper to pay for a dedi server than it is to build a home server and pay for the electric to store my library of media, with asymmetrical broadband means I can download at gigabit speed but upload much slower. Setup was wonderfully simple, the only issue I'm getting is no matter what format I rip my media to, playback on LG TV (WebOS), Emby for Xbox One (on Series X), Android, or Web, all direct play using 265 or 264 codecs via Handbrake that work on all of those platforms when played via USB, the playback stops and starts almost like buffering, or it could play one 40 minute episode of a ripped blu-ray box set then the next episode would stop altogether 5-10 minutes in and not start again. This is with 1Gbps upload on the server and 1Gbps download available at home, direct play, files around 4-10Mbps. The same happens when I try and stream on the move with 4G/5G speeds of 50-800Mbps and literally just me that uses it, so I suspect it's something server side I've not setup correctly? Platform is Windows Server 2019 Standard Any suggestions welcome.
