moviepalace4K 29 Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Is there a possibility to change the images to posters on the home screen under the "Continue Watching" section (with resolution indications (from the cover art plugin) since I have FHD and UHD of the same films) these are now displayed twice.

No, but you can group those versions and you'll have single item in CW row. 1

When I place these movies in FHD and UHD in separate movie folders (read: on separate HDDs) they appear twice. When I put these movies in FHD and UHD in the same folder they appear twice. So unfortunately your solution is not strong enough. Other solutions?

Then you ain't merging them properly, simply having those items in the same folder won't cut it if unsupported naming convention used. You can multi-version in either of three ways: 1) Put all different files in same folder and follow naming convention for multi-version movies https://emby.media/support/articles/Movie-Naming.html#multi-version-movies 2) Multi-select and select "Group Versions" in three-dot menu 3) Use community-made Auto-Grouping plugin Edited October 25, 2023 by GrimReaper 1
blgentry 51 Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Grouping is not a good solution for some of us. Selecting the "version" of the movie you want is too concealed. It is not obvious. So I have movies with several versions set up as manual collections. The movies have different names since they are different versions. So it's actually pretty weird that Emby shows both of them in "continue watching" when I have only played one of them. They start with the same text, and that text is the name of the original movie. But their overall titles are different. So it's odd to me that Emby decides they are the same movie. I guess Emby does this for ALL movies in any collection. EG if I watch one of the Harry Potter movies, ALL of them will appear in continue watching. This seems like a bug, as opposed to an intentional feature. Brian.
GrimReaper 4745 Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 (edited) Items are tracked by ProviderIDs (and that's the reason your userdata - playstates, favorites etc. can be retained across installations or removal/readding same item), hence all your versions are considered same "item" by Emby - that's why if you're having two or three or xy versions of the same movie they'll all appear in CW row unless grouped.
