D1sk 4 Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 I want to show my self made AMV's. I have tested around and found that this works best for category movies, so it is also possible to show making of as an extra. Home videos or music videos do not work at all. Something I do not understand Why are posters not filled in for movies if they are sources you created yourself and EMBY can't find on tvdb imdb and co? How can I solve the problem that the posters are displayed as they are filled in for the movies? If you then click on the content, the poster is then displayed correctly

I don't quite understand your question, can you elaborate a bit and give an example?

Solution GrimReaper 4745 Posted October 25, 2023 Solution Posted October 25, 2023 (edited) Placeholders take shape of primary type image that majority of your items have - in your example, you have 5 recognized movies (with posters, portrait orientation) and 6 unindetified AMVs (with screengrabs, landscape orientation), so your library attempts to fit all images in landscape placeholders. For that library, you have Screen Grabber enabled under Image Fetchers - since those AMV items cannot be found with the providers (hence no artwork available), Emby is taking a frame out of your actual video file, as per your library settings/Screen Grabber enabled. You need to have 2:3 ratio Primary-type image available within each AMV folder named in one of the supported naming conventions: Quote Video images Images are supported in video folders. Below is a table of the supported image file names. Supported image extensions are jpg, jpeg, png, gif and tbn. Several image types support multiple file names. They are listed in the order that they're checked for. Image Type Supported file names Primary {name}.ext {name}-poster.ext {name}-cover.ext {name}-default.ext {name}-movie.ext folder.ext poster.ext cover.ext default.ext movie.ext https://emby.media/support/articles/Movie-Naming.html#video-images Scan media library afterwards. Or have more recognized movies with associated posters than AMVs in that library. Edited October 25, 2023 by GrimReaper Append
