ebr 16169 Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 1270 is close enough . Everything in WMC is scaled off of a width of 1300 anyway (go figure). 1
ebr 16169 Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 I'll change the step to 40 which will allow you to land directly on both 1280 and 1920. 1
BAS 225 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 OK no problem is the thumb width adjustment for the thumb.jpg files or for the actual episode/video snapshots?
ebr 16169 Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 OK no problem is the thumb width adjustment for the thumb.jpg files or for the actual episode/video snapshots? No, those are actually primary images. The thumb setting is for actual thumb.jpg like shown by some themes (chocolate doesn't use these). 1

ebr 16169 Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 233 Adds an update button on the Chocolate toolbar when an update is available. This will show even on an extender and, while you cannot update from the extender, it will act as an indicator that you need to log on to the host machine and update. You extender folks /looksatBAS please test by installing this update and then letting me know you have it and I'll push another one just to test with.
BAS 225 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 233 is installed, my basement 360 extender is up and running and chocolate for testing purposes.
ebr 16169 Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 Okay 234 is up. It is just a version change to test the new update indicator.
BAS 225 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) I see the indicator in Choc on the PC, on the extender it never shows. I see the text scroller that says can't update from an extender after it says welcome to mb classic but i saw that before you even pushed 234 Edited November 9, 2014 by BAS
BAS 225 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Alright I'm on 235 I'll wait for you to push a 236.
AdrianW 1058 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 With 235, the over/under scan value boxes have disappeared - so there's no way to ensure they're all set to zero.
ebr 16169 Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 Good catch Adrian. Now I have an actual reason to push 236 .
ebr 16169 Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 236 is up fixing that layout problem on the advanced config panel.
BAS 225 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) I'm on 235, I see 236 update on the PC and Choc icon shows up. Extender believes MB Classic is up to date. Edited November 10, 2014 by BAS

BAS 225 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) Are you sure the extender is set to see dev updates? Interesting I didnt know that the extenders would have a different setting for that. Sure enough it was on beta. I see the Choc icon on the extender and if i try to click it says cannot update on extender like expected. Edited November 10, 2014 by BAS
ebr 16169 Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 Okay, thanks very much for testing it out and helping me get it working.
ronvp 92 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Just updated to 236 and the text boxes for the over/under scan are still not showing..
ebr 16169 Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 Just updated to 236 and the text boxes for the over/under scan are still not showing.. They aren't text boxes, they are spinners. Are you on a 4:3 monitor? Can you show me a screen shot?
ronvp 92 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) Here is the screen shot. also note that it is only while full screen. In a window it is all perfect.. Note that my screen runs at 1920 x 1200.. Edited November 11, 2014 by ronvp
ebr 16169 Posted November 12, 2014 Author Posted November 12, 2014 It must be the odd resolution throwing off WMC. What happens if you put your screen in 1920x1080?
ronvp 92 Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 It must be the odd resolution throwing off WMC. What happens if you put your screen in 1920x1080? Same problem... it could be the DVI cable or several other things including my Graphics card or even the monitor.. Any way to make the other items on the screen a little more compact so it all moves over to the left?

Any way to make the other items on the screen a little more compact so it all moves over to the left? The layout works in every standard 16x9 situation I've tested and I don't want to compromise the 99% for a 1% scenario. I don't know why it wouldn't layout properly if you set your resolution to a standard one. I can see how it might get confused by the resolution you were running though as it might think it was 4:3 since the vertical resolution was a little too big in relation to the horizontal one. Do you have any other strange graphics things going on like have you increased your Windows font size or anything?

I have no other strange graphics issues either on the desktop or in MCE. the only item is the Advanced settings in MB when r8uning at 1200 x 1920.. Also I need to correct myself. When I said I tried the 1080 x 1920, I actually tried that on the desk top. When I try within MCE, the problem with the advanced settings goes away, but then MCE will then not use my whole screen. Normally not a big deal I guess, but I have quite a bit of older and lower resolution movies and they just scale better on 1200 x 1920. In any case, I would not worry about it. I am not using the Under/overscan settings on this machine anyway. I just wanted to flag the issue
