ebr 16169 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Fixes a crash when playing multi-part items Allows streamed items to play in both MPC-HC and VLC externals because we know they can handle them
DGMayor 90 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Just to carry over my previous issue, with version 225 I'm now getting sound when I chapter jump but it's like a second or so of skipping audio. The rest is the same issue.
ebr 16169 Posted November 1, 2014 Author Posted November 1, 2014 Nothing in the dev versions is changing any of this right now. My skipping has worked pretty well lately but I did see this issue a while back. I think it is WMC/the codecs getting confused when we try to force seek these items. Can you narrow it down to any particular formats or codecs?
ebr 16169 Posted November 1, 2014 Author Posted November 1, 2014 226 adds two new sort options: critic rating and user (imdb/tmdb/star) rating: These new sort methods also fully-support the JIL selector in the Chocolate theme. @@leedavies @@Soultaker @@Cheesegeezer If any other themes are presenting options that are not purely textual and depend on knowing what the options available are, you will need to adjust for these new ones. ebr 16169 Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 H264 MKV. Does that mean if you try it with other formats it isn't a problem? Or that is the only format you have? What is the audio format? Any correlation there? What codecs in play? Any other items that might be in play like MediaControl or other such add-ons?

Cheesegeezer 3104 Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Thanks, Cheese. No probs sir, what else you got install for the next release?

I haven't noticed the issue with MP4, but I don't have many.. Just tested one again and it's just a standard h264 with ac3 audio. Pretty much what most of my non-blu ray stuff is. Just tried an MKV that's h264 with DTS audio, same thing. If I try top play it again after stopping it, nothing happens, but if I go back one view (say I'm on detailed for that episode, I go back to the season list) and then play it will play again from the start. DGMayor 90 Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 (edited) The other thing I noticed is that if I stop a show half way, It's no longer staying in my recently unwatched list on the EHS. It used to stay there until the watched flag hit. I'm guessing that would be a server issue though. I stopped a show 18 minutes into a 47 minute show (less than half) and there is a resume point but it's also showing up as watched. Edited November 3, 2014 by DGMayor

ebr 16169 Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 Which item are we talking about? It looks like you played and stopped a couple of different shows a number of times.
DGMayor 90 Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 The first one, Downton Abbey was the one I stopped about 18 minutes in and it marked it as viewed at that point. I then played a few other things (Your The Worst 01x01 and Archer 00x05 or something like that) to test the chapter skip. Both had the issue described above.
ebr 16169 Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 It looks like MBC is reporting the progress fine. What are your percentage settings on the server? Do the items in question have valid running times?

ebr 16169 Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 (Cough) manipulate playlists Sorry, but I'm not inclined to do that at this juncture. Too much UI work involved for too little payback. It would be very cumbersome to create new playlists in the MBC interface with nothing but a remote control. Much easier to just pick up your phone and do it there.

Yeah fair enough and I'm inclined to agree too.
DGMayor 90 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I'm stumped then... What happens in other client apps? Only seem to be having these issues in MBC. The chapter skip/unable to resume issue is with the custom play interface only. Obviously I can't chapter skip in the original interface, so it's hard to compare. The issue of stuff being marked watched prematurely might have been a hiccup with the server. I loaded up the server options and kept having error timeout messages so I rebooted everything. So far so good.
