Audiomandan 3 Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 I noticed that Chrome browser has had a significant update and following this Chrome on Macbook Pro won't let me connect to the server neither locally or remotely i get the following message: We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again. If you're trying to connect to an HTTP address, your browser may not be allowing this. You may want to try one of the following: Setup HTTPS for your Emby Server so that you can connect using HTTPS. Use http://app.emby.media instead. This seems to happen immediately without any time to actually try and establish the connection. I'm thinking there must be something within a setting on Chrome as Safari & Firefox connect with no issues. Any ideas what this could be? Cheers, Dan
GrimReaper 4745 Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 (edited) Chrome is being more aggressive lately in force redirecting to https; as said in the Error message: make sure address in the Chrome address bar starts with http:// (you might have to manually dump "s" from "https"). Quick Google search should also offer few solutions to circumvent that. Edited October 21, 2023 by GrimReaper 1
