Emby is not a streaming platform (like Netflix, Apple+ and somewhat Plex), Emby provides no content. It is a server-client platform where, at minimum, you need to have:

a) Your own media, or

b) LiveTV tuner properly configured on your server, or

c) Someone has shared their server with you 

Do you have any of those? If not, there's no cost involved and nothing to pay, as you won't be able to use it.
