TV Episodes not recognized

I might have misunderstod this, but will the new release also support TV episodes ?

So the name could be "Ghosts.of.Morgan.City.S01E03.NORDiC.1080p.WEB-DL.AAC2.0.H.264", and the system would recognize it and get the meta data?

Hi, how does that relate to this? We already support that episode naming.

I'm honestly trying to make some sense of that - and failing. What should that mean?

How are your files and folders named and organized in your TV shows root folder?

That won't work, each TV show needs to have it's own folder - season folders beneath are optional though recommended.

@GrimReaper

When I identify each episodes its working and they are combine to 1 Serie. but I must do it manually.
I have used plex in the past where it worked. So, I hope this folder structure at some point will work on emby.

Yes, because Emby identifies TV shows (and then likely merges shows spread across multiple folders, as per your library setting), not episodes - there's no Identify option on episode level.

Maybe beta 4.8+ branch will bring some improvements in that respect, but stable 4.7 certainly won't.

@GrimReapersomething i dont understand is i have some season, like these two

Shouldn't the system recognize them automaticly ?
I understande the part about single episode but complet season it should identify or am i wrong?

I hope it will come in the next version, its a big library so it would take forever to do it manually. And i cant change the struktur on my rclone config.

It might, that's continuous process in Emby, improvements in identifying.

4.8 beta has many improvements and changes - but comes with the normal warning about beta versions not being guaranteed to work perfectly.  Note in particular that installing the beta makes changes to your database, such that returning to the release version is only possible with complete reinstallation.

I use the beta version exclusively, and have minimal problems.

@pwhodgesDoes your struktur look like mine or ?
For me as a new user, really dont wont to manuelly identify all my libarys :).
So if the identify works better ind the beta, i might want to try it. But then again i dont want to start over again :).

I rename all my files to meet the Emby guidelines (folder per show, usually also folder per season except sometimes if there's only one.  I also check that the folder name matches the preferred name on TVDB.

This way I never have any significant trouble.

When I started with Emby, I complained a lot that it wouldn't identify my media correctly - but I soon realised that knuckling under and doing it their way was a whole lot less stressful, and once done a lot less trouble too.

It helps to have a decent bulk file renamer, either to rename them manually (which I prefer), or a program that renames using metadata and rules to suit Emby (such as filebot or sonarr).

My biggest libary is on a ready-only after google, made some change. So i cant change the name on that.
