How To Bulk Disable Channels That Don't Have Guide Data Mapped

I have a few thousand channels that haven't had guide data auto-mapped from my provider, but most aren't critical so I'd like to disable them. Is there a way I can bulk disable all channels on the Live TV > Channels > Not Mapped to Guide Data screen?

Even just pointing me to a couple API endpoints that would give me the info to loop through and disable them would be wonderful.

Hi, bulk edit features will be coming in future updates. Thanks.

Thanks Luke!

Is there by chance an API endpoint that would let me grab all unmapped live TV channels? And then am I correct that this would be the correct endpoint to iteratively update each channel to disable it?

Much appreciated

HI, if you use the filter dialog on the channel  management screen, you'll notice there are filters for this. Try using those and then if you want to script it with the api, then just monitor the requests that are being sent using the browser debugger.

To anyone finding this thread in the future, I created a repo that contains a Python script for bulk disabling unmapped live TV channels: https://github.com/coulterpeterson/emby-bulk-actions

Two years later and it is very useful. :) I may extend it so i can enable with filters and such but it did handle the disabling perfectly. (i did not want to manually click something like 1200 channels.

It looks like this may be out of date in 2025. I ran into the same issue and created an updated repo that contains a script for bulk disabling unmapped channels: https://github.com/sufamic/emby-channel-manager. Thank you for the inspiration!

Weird... what problem did you see? I used the original repo to bulk disable the unmapped channels from my feed. Where i have problems is disabling channels that ARE mapped but the url in the m3u is outdated or invalid. :( i did it by hand now but such is life. im far too lazy to write the code to do it lol.  Though i may include it as some feature of my comcutting and remuxing app. (right now only command line, and not perfect... works most times but sometimes not)
