annibal 4 Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Hi everyone I'm new using this emby program I come from plex and I've never had this problem it will definitely be an optimal configuration problem for my server I installed emby on ubuntu 18.04 it seemed very fluid but when I started uploading my files of around 30 TB divided into folders for example bluray in a TV series folder in another and so on I noticed that the CPU, as per the subject of the topic, jumps to 100% and takes too long to analyze the added TV series folder and when I go to the home page to open any Bluray file it takes a long time to see what's inside the bluray folder etc I attach the log file I just downloaded I also noticed that the Scan media library remained at 87.8% for more than 2 hours at this percentage Is there a way to optimize everything?? Maybe increasing the MB of the db?? I remember that I am new to emby and sorry if I did not express myself correctly or with more specific data embyserver(1).txt
Luke 42078 Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Hi, the server is probing your media files for media info during the initial scans. Once this finishes, subsequent scans after that should be much faster and lighter. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
annibal 4 Posted October 17, 2023 Author Posted October 17, 2023 HI Thanks for the reply First of all I would like to completely delete it including the folders it downloaded, meta data etc. and reinstall it do you have any guide to help me with this solution?? because I don't know the folder path
Luke 42078 Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 You could just shutdown the server, then delete: /var/lib/emby Then start up again. But why do you want to do that?
annibal 4 Posted October 18, 2023 Author Posted October 18, 2023 HI thanks for your advice I deleted it and installed it again Now it seems to work perfectly without CPU changes Now I have another question to ask but I'll open another topic Thanks again 1
