Multiverse 8 Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 Hi, I've got crazy because the last 3 hours I've tried to find a valid naming scheme including the "arrs" quality definitions and multiple editions (Extended Cut, Director's Cut, etc.). For me it is important that the quality definition (like "Remux-1080p" or "Remux-2160p") is detected by the "arrs" but not seen by Emby as part of the edition tag. I've tried many file names like seen in the screenshot (previous trials are already deleted, I've tried nearly every combination), but in Emby the edition name always starts after "Remux" or has the "Remux-2160p" / "Remux-1080p" after the edtions name. Please, what is the correct naming scheme to include the quality definitions without having an incorrect edition name? Thanks a lot!
pwhodges 2012 Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 The Emby versions are defined by the part of the name which varies - so your quality indications will be part of it. But using the version technique for variants such as the DC versions is not very well supported (for instance, you may stop playback in one version, but when you return to resume another might be the default). On the whole, I prefer to make them separate movies and then put them in a little collection. Paul
Multiverse 8 Posted October 14, 2023 Author Posted October 14, 2023 I like the Plex way, the editions are seperate items but you see the edition tag. But this is not possible with Emby, and I'm so frustrated because I wasn't able to find a way, even not a partial solution! And it seems there are no items who can be used as seperators (so I would be able to say "End of tag"). @LukeWhat about a better and much more clear specification for filename tagging? More options please!
Luke 42080 Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 Support for that style of edition naming is possible for future updates. Thanks.
