Pankookis 10 Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Hi, I've seen this a few times. I add a 4k movie to my collection and Emby names it as "title 4K". It's not all movies but it appears sometimes. It's an easy fix with the metadata manager but I'd still like to know if this is a bug or if this is supposed to happen I haven't realized. In my example I have the movie 1917 which was scanned and identified as 1917 4K. I only have one version of this movie, although I have had it in a 1080p resolution before getting a 4K tv if there are some lingering metadata that makes it separate it from the other version or something like that.
rbjtech 5284 Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 I'm pretty sure emby is not doing this - it will just use whatever name it gets from the metadata provider - and it will have no knowledge on the media resolution. 1
GrimReaper 4744 Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 (edited) Do you have some other program writing NFO files? Edit: Another thought: do you have Prefer embedded titles enabled in your library settings (toggle Show advanced options On)? Can you share a screenshot of Media Info section from that item detail page? Edited October 12, 2023 by GrimReaper Append 1
