Chudz 1 Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 (edited) I am new to Emby and this is my use case: I have a one server which I use to scan media in, the server isn't in use it has a demo user and its not connected to Premier or Emby Connect just a local user. I use this server to do a backup of the database/metadata and then move that backup to a server I plan to use. (I have 2 servers I plan to use) I restored the backup on Server 1 and change the server name, changed local user's name and password and linked it to Emby Connect. Then I added my Premier key. I did the same on Server 2, however when linking the user on this server to a new Emby connect user (not the same one used on Server 1) it shows the server name of Server 1 in the email and in Apps when trying to connect. Is this due to some ID of the local user? Thanks Edited October 4, 2023 by Chudz
Luke 42077 Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 Hi, what exactly was your backup process? It sounds like both servers ended up with the same server id, which is going to cause both Emby apps and our Emby Connect server to think they're the same server.
