RalphK 0 Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Hello. I am pretty sure that I have some settings wrong but I am having trouble figuring out the problem. I have a library name TV with its contents set to "TV shows". On recently added shows, I no longer see the "Cast & Crew" for each episode. However for shows that I added years ago, I see the cast and crew for each episode. These shows are all in the same "TV" library. Any idea what I have done wrong? Thanks, Ralph
Luke 42081 Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Hi, what metadata fetchers are enabled on the library and in what order? Did you check to see what data your highest priority fetcher has?
RalphK 0 Posted October 2, 2023 Author Posted October 2, 2023 Hi Luke. Thank you for the quick response. I've attached a screen shot of the library's settings. -- Ralph
RalphK 0 Posted October 2, 2023 Author Posted October 2, 2023 That screen shot looks terrible. I've attached a PNG
Luke 42081 Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 OK so the answer is tvdb. Did you check to see what data they have for the series in question?
RalphK 0 Posted October 2, 2023 Author Posted October 2, 2023 Yes. I checked. They have cast and crew information. For example, https://thetvdb.com/series/the-twilight-zone/episodes/119374#castcrew
Luke 42081 Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 OK, please try refreshing the metadata on that episode and see if that helps bring in new information.
RalphK 0 Posted October 5, 2023 Author Posted October 5, 2023 I'm sorry that it took me so long to get back to you. I tried refreshing the metadata. The dialog box "Refresh Metadata" was displayed. I clicked the green "Refresh" button. It said, "Refreshing metadata..." Unfortunately, there is still no "Cast & Crew" section being displayed for the episode. Thanks for your help, Ralph

How to Report a Problem Thanks.
RalphK 0 Posted October 5, 2023 Author Posted October 5, 2023 I pushed the refresh button at 13:59:06 The attached log has the resulting entries. -- Ralphembyserver.txt
Luke 42081 Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 Have you checked the metadata editor for that episode to ensure there are no locked fields?
RalphK 0 Posted October 6, 2023 Author Posted October 6, 2023 It looks like "People" is unlocked. However, it is empty.
Luke 42081 Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Is that tvdb id for the episode correct? Try blanking it out and saving and then refreshing the metadata for the episode again.
Luke 42081 Posted October 11, 2023 Posted October 11, 2023 OK I can confirm the issue, but I don't have an answer right now. It will need to be reported to tvdb. The data on their website doesn't match what's coming out of their api.
