Faster server switching

My searching skills seem woefully lacking but I cannot find a way to quickly switch servers as needed.

I have found that what I want to do, both in Emby and outside thereof, cannot be easily done on one computer so I have decided to try to use two servers for some of the in Emby stuff. Right now I have everything working quite well with the only problem being that it is a bit slow to move from one server to the other except on my computer itself where I can have the two servers open separately but on all my clients I cannot do that and to switch servers I have to enter my password each time. I know I can do the "Fast user switching but I am not wanting to switch users I want to switch servers.

This is all on my local network and neither server has any ability to be accessed from outside my network.

If there is not an easy way to do this it is OK. It just means my switching will be slower than it needs to be.

Maybe the solution (inadequate as it would be) is to simplify my password for my Emby servers. Since everything is completely local I guess a one or two character password should be safe.

Hi.  With the next server release, the passwords will be remembered even when switching servers.

Thanks, that will help me a lot.

Now onto the next question that I am quite sure is quite unreasonable: Is it possible to "combine" servers? I have two and it would be advantageous if I could see both while browsing on a client.
Switching easily solves the basic problem but I like things to be as easy as possible. Being able to see content from bow servers at the same time would be even better.

After all is it not your job to make my life easier??? :D

Not currently, but you can lend your support here:

Edit: Seems like a pretty popular request, I might add.

If both servers are local (which I believe you said they are) then is there any reason why you could not just 'share' the contents of each server - and then server it up as an emby library ?

Combining is of course the better solution (see the post above) but if you just want to 'see' then content of the other server - there is a solution/workaround today.

I thought about doing that but I am a total novice as to sharing, I was not even good at that way back in kindergarten, I do not like to even think about exposing my system to the outside world but, once I get assured that I can be sure there is no outside exposure, I may give that a try.
I feel like the King that said: "I'm paranoid, but am I paranoid enough."

Thanks for the idea, I will investigate.

Can   I share my server with myself or do I have to create another account for that purpose? Or do you mean a "home" setup. That I do not know how to do either but I guess I might be able to figure it out.
