Problems viewing 4K movies displaying another portion of the screen

Many 4K files on the FireTV have problems as they display another portion of the screen on the right as you can see from the screenshots.
Going over them with DVDFAB the problem is fixed and this is the attached txt report before and after..
I also tried trying to use the video/audio correction option but the menu doesn't appear, see other screenshot

On the computer these 4K films do not highlight this problem

I tested these movies in 4K on 3 other firesticks and they highlighted the same problem.
I have a Samsung QE75Q70AATXZT TV and the other 2 Sony and a Samsung UE55ks7000 TV

Thank

Hispa

Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

Here there is log.

Note in the log there is also a movie where  I was able to use it the video/audio correction option and the film was seen in the right form, while in the others it was not possible to use this function because the menu did not appear.

I also included here 2 small file mkv for example

Thank an good day

Hi.  This is probably going to come down to the odd resolution as we've seen the Fire have trouble with that in the past.  Note the vertical resolution went from 1608 to 1632.

I have a very important question:

How do you have a 4k version of the (1982) Conan The Barbarian ?  As far as I know, that movie has never been released in 4k anywhere.  Is this maybe some upscale from 1080p or something?  I would love to see an actual 4k scan of that movie.

Thanks,

Brian.

Amazon Prime video offers Conan the Barbarian in 4k.

But - it's the 2011 remake - not the 1982 original.

Yep - DV8 and HDR10+ is a problem on the FireTV 4K max - it's a known issue already with Amazon and Google.

btw - you can automate removing the HDR10+ with a script found online (search for @reset_9999) - I added #8 below - you drag and drop the the file onto the Window and it does it all for you - resulting in a DV8 + HDR10 file - which works perfectly on the Fire TV 4K max.. :)

Yes.  Also available on 4k BluRay, which is how I would normally access it.  But the remake isn't very interesting to me.  Maybe I should watch it once just in case...

Thanks for making me think about it.

Take care,

Brian.
