Hello.

Do you think it is a better idea to add button of previous and next episode and add section of chapters in seek bar?

What version of the Emby app is that? Also, what display mode has it detected on your device? Those transport controls should be auto when in 'Mobile' mode, and optional in 'TV' mode

I am using the website and the device I am using is Laptop.

As for chapters, this is what I am looking for.

My bad, the screen size looked like a mobile device initially.

Just tested in a browser, all controls are visible.

 

Are you playing from a local server instance? How does http://app.emby.media compare?

I don't know how to get host (IP address) from  http://app.emby.media but when I go on http://localhost:8096/web/index.html#!/home it automatically signs in for me but not app.emby.media because it tells me this.  So what should I do?

Your screenshot shows a movie playing - which next episode you'd be expecting to show there?

It certainly ain't recognized as such. How are your files named and organized? Which TV show would that be?

Let me try again: your UI shows a movie playing: no TV show name, no Episode name, no Sx:Ey indicators. Emby does not consider that item to be a part of any show/be an episode. And it definitely doesn't consider it an episide of Monster. Maybe it's misidentified. Maybe your filefolder structure/naming is off. Hence:

Is this your own Emby server you are using, or someone else's?

If yours, you need to enable chapter images in the library settings.

It is my own server, it is labelled my laptop. But if I do that what you say,  will that generate image as jpeg.

I don’t know about chapter buttons. We have a lot of buttons there as it is.

 But yes if you have chapter images then you’ll get the chapters tab at the bottom.

I am currently watching a series where the first chapter marks the end of the "previously on" segment, which is about 40-50sec long.

Clicking on chapters, then "chapter 2" feels unwieldy to me after a few episodes doing that.

Now that I think of it, I looked up the keyboard shortcuts, and... there IS one for next chapter!

But I have no idea how I was supposed to know that. No-where in the UI does it say that.
I assumed that would toggle search in firefox, so I'd never try to use that as a shortcut. Same with PageUp I would assume it scrolls the page, not that it is overridden and does something else.
I did try the modifiers shift, ctrl and alt plus the arrow keys, that didn't do what I wanted them to.
Maybe adding a ctrl + left/right to skip to chapters is a good idea, nothing uses that so far.

Emby also has PageUp and PageDown for next/previous chapter, which is the same as my go-to desktop player, MPV.  Curiously MPC-HC uses the same keys but the opposite way around !

Instinct.  No software comes with a manual any more - we're just supposed to know (or go poking around to find pages like the one you linked).

You said it’s not displayed in the ui but did you notice that this keyboard list is in settings?
