New Movies show up in emby but not always on the home under New Movies

Hello,

I switch from Windows server to Synology server(nas) recently).

Now i see the following.

When i add a movie (or a series) the movie gets recognized in emby and is available in emby under movies or series.
But in many time the movie will not show up in "new movies" one the start page of emby.

That is really a big problem for me.

Is there any way to fix it?

What is your behavior for newly added content set to in Settings>Library>Advanced tab?

Posted

"Use file creation date"

i did not change anything, just standard settings...

You might want to change that to Use date scanned into the library and see how does it compare going forwards.

Hi, did you compare the date added values in the metadata editor of the new title compared to what is showing at the beginning of the latest lists?

Hello Luke,

I have 3 screenshots from series:

- series front page.jpg - The start site of emby
- series sort by date.jpg - view from the series menu
- life in pieces meta data.jpg - shows when the series was added (its the newest series)

When i had a windows server, everything was always correct, since i switched to synology, i have this listing issues.

Any idea for this?

For TV shows, Home Screen sorts by "Last episode date added", not "Date added".

Right so I would check the date added value on the episodes.
