Low image quality/resolution when viewing in emby app

I know setting quality to 100 will increase the time to display images. But some people like to see image in full quality irrespective of time.

A simple option in settings can really help users.

We need to view the image in its original quality! please add an option to make the image quality 100.

Self-hosted media files are meant to be viewed as Blu-ray movies and high quality images. and the emby team has taken it upon themselves to reduce the image quality ...... I really don't understand the emby team doing this, at least give us an option to customize the quality!

Thank you very much!

To me, even setting it to 100% will not show original image quality (Latest Android+App).

@Luketbh I am not even sure anymore. This issue is soon to be 2 years old and I have given up.

I was probably referring to the image/streaming quality which is usually set to Auto as this should give best possible quality results. I for sure tested setting it to 100 instead but without any luck.

As of today the image quality with the emby Android app when watching images still sucks. It is worse than the compression that WhatsApp/Telegram do.

Hi, he didn't reply to you so I wanted to reply.

Maybe you don't know: emby both Web and Android, when viewing images, they are not the original images, they are compressed, my screenshots are evidence of that.image.thumb.jpeg.7ee0dc219cb2b87387c652ff4545887c.jpeg

We want the images not to be compressed, we can allow longer loading times, and we want to see the original image.

Please add an option that allows us to browse images with 100% image quality

@LukeThe example is in the third post if this thread. It is my second post in this thread and includes images.

Basically the same as @chuwzposted as example. Let me know if you need more...

@LukeSadly still not fixed :( the downloaded files has a much higher quality and you can zoom in way closer (I am using the photo viewer on Android for the downloaded files).
