Enable voice search on Fire TV using mobile

I have both the standard android version and the Fire TV version loaded on my fire cube. But I noticed that while on my android TV box, I get a microphone that automatically pops up on the android TV version and on the mobile version I still have a microphone over to the right hand side. 
 

However, when I do the same on my fire cube, I noticed that there is no microphone on the standard android Only on the fire cube version. And on that, I noticed that it doesn’t pop up right away. You have to click on the search bar and then microphone popped up at the bottom.  
 

So my question is how do you get the voice search to work on the fire stick with the standard android version or is it possible? And is there no way on the Fire TV/android TV version to have it like on the android TV where the microphone picks up right away rather than the keyboard.
