Hispanico957 23 Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 My QNAP TS-451D2 has a Giga Ethernet connection like I think everyone does. Well in a few days I will have the fiber that will go from 1Mbps to 2.5Mbps and since the router will have a 2.5 wan output I was thinking of getting it to the NAS and with a QNA-UC5G1T adapter ( QNA-UC5G1T | Collegare le reti 5GbE tramite USB 3.2 Gen 1 | QNAP ) from USB 3.2 Gen 1Gb to 5Gb (or other) I could have the upload much more efficient and with more bandwidth. Do you think the Emby server can benefit from this or will the speed and scope of the flow not benefit? Thank Hispa
Luke 42083 Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 hi, so your connection is already extremely fast, right?

Yes thank Luke, but this is not what interests me at the moment, I would like to know if the Emby server can benefit from this procedure or speed change Hispa Edited September 21, 2023 by Hispanico957
Luke 42083 Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Well if it's going to give you faster upload speed, then yes, the server will definitely benefit from that.
rbjtech 5284 Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 (edited) Do you have an existing bottleneck on your upload speed ? For hosting, that is what counts - the download speed is irrelevant. btw - I assume you mean 1Gbps, not 1Mbps ... Edited September 22, 2023 by rbjtech
